सुखे निमग्नः शयने यदासं मधोश्च रथ्यासु मनस्चचार ।
स चिन्तयामास कुलानि काव्यं दारांश्च भोगांश्च सुखं धनानि ॥ १॥
sukhe nimagnaH shayane yadAsaM madhoshcha rathyAsu manaschachAra |
sa chintayAmAsa kulAni kAvyaM dArAMshcha bhogAMshcha sukhaM dhanAni || 1||
1. As I lay sunk in the comfort of my couch and my mind wandered on the roads of Spring, I thought of my people, of poetry, of wife and enjoyments, pleasure and possessions.
