Sri Aurobindo and The Mother

Q: How to explain the simultaneous occurrence of the experiences and depression?

They take place in part of the being — the depression and struggle belong to another part. Inertia, dissatisfaction, depression! What should be done against them except to refuse to harbour them and use the will steadily against them? It is a part of your being that responds to the suggestions — otherwise they would have no power over you. You would feel them separate and unable to stop your progress.

– Sri Aurobindo
